Solution

The correct option is B Lord Amherst
The friendly and cordial relationship between the British and the Maharaja was re-established between 1825 to 1830. Lord Amherst visited Shimla in April 1827 and was welcomed by Diwan Moti Ram. Later, in May 1827, the Governer-General had written a letter to the Maharaja. This showed the friendly relations between them.
