Two crickrt bat C.P is $= R s 840$ and $R s 360$
on first he gain $15 % = 840 + (840 \times 15 %)$
SP $= R s 966$
on second he lose $15 % = 360 - (360 \times 5 %)$
$= R s 342$
total C.P $= 840 + 360 = 1200$
total S.P $= 342 + 966 = R s 1308$
clearly he makes gain
total gain $= 1308 - 1200 = R s 108$
$g a i n % = \frac{g a i n}{C . P} \times 100$
$= \frac{108}{1200} \times 100$
$= 9 %$
Hence,
gain $%$ is $9 %$
