Open in App
Solution

Renal tubule

  1. One of the millions of small tubes in the kidneys that return nutrients, fluids, and other things filtered from the blood yet required by the body back to the blood.
  2. Urine is formed from the leftover fluid and waste in the renal tubules.

Reabsorption occurs mostly in the proximal tubule of the nephron. The renal tubules reintroduce nearly all of the water, glucose, lost during filtration.
