The Water Cycle is the movement of water from the oceans and land into the air and back again. The 1st step is evaporation -the change of a liquid to a gas.It changes to the gas form of water, called water vapor. The water vapor rises into the air. The 2nd step is the condensation-the change of a gas to a liquid.The 3rd step is precipitation-is water that falls to the ground from clouds.It can be in the form of rain, snow, sleet, or hail.

The last step is runoff-water that flows over the ground after precipitation. Some precipitation sinks into the ground. Water below Earth's surface is called groundwater.
