Number of interval during drop movement is $5$

Time interval in two consecutive drop is $0.5 sec$

Total time, $5 \times t = 5 \times 0.5 = 2.5 sec$

Apply kinematic equation of motion

$s = u t + \frac{1}{2} a t^{2}$

$s = 0 + \frac{1}{2} 9.8 \times {2.5}^{2} = 30.62 m$

Hence, height of celling is $30.62 m$
