Water is known to exist in three different states, as a solid, liquid and gas. A cloud is comprised of ice crystals as solid or tiny water droplets as liquid. Water existing as a gas is called water vapor. Moisture in air is referred to as amount of water vapor. Clouds, snow and rain are different forms of water.

Water exists as ice in the solid state and mostly found in the polar regions in the pure form.

Water exists as liquid state and is present in rivers , lakes , ponds etc

Water exists in gaseous state and is present in the air as moisture. The most common examples of water in gaseous state are fog and mist.
