Water flows at the rate of 5 km/hr through a pipe of diameter 14 cm into a rectangle tank which is 25 m long and 22 m wide. Find the time in which the level of water in the tank rises by 21 cm. (Take π=227)

The correct option is C 1.5 hr
Diameter of pipe =14cm, Water speed =5kmhr
Let in t hours, the level of water rises by 21cm.
Volume of water flowing out of the pipe in 1 hour = πr2×5000
=227×7100×7100×5000
=77m3
Volume of water flowing out of the pipe in t hours =77tm3
Volume of water in tank =25×22×21100=115.5m3
Now, Volume of water flowing out = Volume of water in tank
77t=115.5t=115.577=1.5hr
