Solution

The correct option is C will rise
Given data:
Critical specific volume of water:
VC=0.003155m3/kg

Volume of steel tank,
V=0.025m3

Pressure of mixture of water and steam,
p=0.1MPa=1bar

Mass of mixture of water and steam,
m=10kg

Specific volume of mixture,
V=Vm=0.02510=0.0025m3/kg

As V<VC, the condition of steam lies near to the saturated liquid line and the liquid level inside the tank will rise with heating.
