Solution

The correct options are
A

Stomata

B

Cuticle, the waxy layer

Stomata, present in more number at the underside of a leaf, open and close to allow carbon dioxide inside the cells. When the stomata open, water is lost in the form of water vapours. this process is called as transpiration. Some amount of water is also lost through the cuticle, which is a waxy coating on the surface of leaves. Thicker the cuticle less is the loss of water.
