Solution

  • The boiling point of a liquid depends upon the external pressure.
  • On the moon, the atmospheric pressure is very low.
  • As a result, the boiling point of water will be less on the moon than that on the earth.
  • Compared to the earth, the gravitational force on the moon is very less.
  • Due to this, water molecules can easily drift to the surface.
  • Moreover, the temperature on the surface of the moon is also high.
  • So water kept in an open bowl will quickly evaporate on the moon.
