Solution
Evaporation of water:
Water present under the sunlight is heated up directly by the sun and is evaporated.
On the other hand, water that is kept in a shady area is also evaporated without direct contact with sunlight.
This is due to the heat produced in the surrounding of the tree during daytime.
The surrounding air gets heated up in sunlight and the water is evaporated even from the shady area of the tree.
The process of evaporation needs heat energy which causes cooling.
The heat energy from the surroundings is utilized by the molecules in converting the water into water vapor and in return it causes cooling of the surface.
Thus, the water kept in sunlight and under the shade of a tree both gets evaporated.
