Water level in a well was 20 metres below the ground level. During rainy season, rain water collected in different water tanks was drained into a well and water level rises above the previous level. The wall of the well is 1 metre 20 cm high and a pulley is fixed at a height of 80 cm. Raghu wants to draw water from the well. What is the minimum length of the rope that he can use ? Note that the water level in a well was 20 meters below the ground level.The wall of the well is 1 meter 20 cm high.So the total depth of the water level from the top of the wall is, 20 meters+1 meters 20 cm=21.20 metersAlso, the pulley is fixed at a height of 80cm that is 0.80 meterSo the minimum length of the rope which he can use is, 21.20+0.80 meters=22 meters
