The correct option is C 48
We notice that the number of cubes inside the tank are 16




Each cube has a unit volume of water.
Therefore, volume of a cube =1 cubic units.
Volume of water = Number of cubes × volume of a cube
=16×1=16 cubic units.

Also, the water occupies quater of the capacity of the tank.
Thus volume occupied by water =14×V, where V is the volume of the tank.
14×V=16

Volume of the tank V=4×16=64 units

The portion of the tank not occupied by water is occupied by air,
volume of air in the tank =6416=48 units

Option (c.) is correct.
