Question

Water present in this container is to be transferred to a cubical container (in the shape of a cube). What should be the length of the new container?

Open in App
Solution

Since the entire water present in this container is to be shifted to the new container, the capacity of both the containers should be equal.

Which means, volume of this container = volume of new cubical container

For this container,
length l=25 m, breadth b=5 m and height h=27 m
Volume =l×b×h=25×5×27=3375 m3

Let us assume that the length of the new cubical container =s m
Volume of the new container willl be =s3 m3

Thus, s3=3375
s=33375=15 m
