The correct option is C $6 c m$
As given height $= 2 c m$
Relation between heights and radii $h_{1} r_{1} = h_{2} r_{2}$
$A T Q, h_{1} = 2 c m; r_{2} = \frac{1}{3} r,$
Thus, $2 r = h_{2} \frac{1}{3} r h_{2} = 6 c m$
Hence water rise $6 c m$
