Question

we always see the shadow of an object which blocks the way of light. And it is always stretched. Why do you think it is stretched and bigger than the shape of the object?

Solution

Dear student
This is purely because the angular size of the object compared to the light source becomes larger as it brought closer to it. The shadow formed by the object would thus be larger as a result. If the object is moved away, the size of the shadow formed would be smaller compared.
