We can easily move our hand in the air but we cannot move our hand through a wooden table. Identify the correct reason for the same.
Space between particles of air is larger than space between particles of wooden table.
Particles of matter have space between them. Space between particles of air is much larger than the space between particles of the wooden table. So, you can move your hand in the air freely but not into a wooden table. Also, wood is solid and has a strong intermolecular force and hence we cannot move our hand freely through the wood or any solid for that matter.
