We can travel on water by:
As Newton's third law says, we can stand on ground because we apply a force on ground because of our weight, and the ground resists. We cannot stand on water because water cannot resist the force applied by our weight. But we can swim on water because we push the water backwards, and water resists and pushes us forward. How can water resist us while swimming but not while standing on the water surface?
How can we tell that Saturn can float on water
