Solution

An infectious disease, generally caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses, and other microbes can be effectively treated by killing the causative organism. Killing the microbe will not only cease the spread of the infection but also eliminate all the future possibilities of infection. Another way is blocking the formation of the bacterial cell walls, making it available for antibodies to act on it and cease its growth.

A few examples which support the statement include, the action of penicillin (an antibiotic) on bacterial pathogens. Penicillin works by h. Quinine, another drug, is used as a cure for Malaria, it acts against the malaria-causing parasite called plasmodium.
