We could see the veins very clearly on our body, but the arteries are always difficult to find. Could you guess the reason?
Blood flow in artery with great pressure
Arteries are deep seated because they carry the oxygenated blood under severe pressure. A person might die in case there is a rupture in artery. Compared to this when we look at the veins, the de-oxygenated blood which flows back to heart do not flow under pressure.
A rupture in artery might result in loss of blood within no time if the rupture is not sealed immediately. Rupture or injury to veins is not as dangerous as artery because the blood flows slowly and can be stopped with mild pressure at the point of rupture.
