= $\frac{20 + 34 + 42 + 56 + 64 + 29 + 41 + 30 + 35}{9}$

= $\frac{351}{9}$

= 39

If we introduce 109 to this data set and add it to the existing value we get :

Mean = $\frac{S u m o f o b s e r v a t i o n s}{N o . o f O b s e r v a t i o n s}$

= $\frac{351 + 109}{10}$

= $\frac{460}{10}$
