We have two identical metal sheets. One of them is rubbed with sandpaper and the other with ordinary paper. The one rubbed with sandpaper shines more than the other. Give reason.

Solution

The sandpaper creates more friction between the metal sheet and it as compared to the plain paper. Therefore, the sandpaper makes the sheet shinier by removing the top layer of the metal sheet.
