Solution

Dear Student

In a closed circuit connected with a battery, conventional current is the direction of current which is assumed to be flowing from positive terminal of the battery towards the negative terminal. It is opposite to the flow of the direction of electrons which flow from negative terminal to the positive terminal of the battery.

Conventional here means the assumed direction.

Regards.
