Dear student The word “dikus” means outsiders. These outsiders were traders and moneylenders who would come into the forests to sell the goods not produced within the forest, buy forest produce and offer cash loans. And often these loans are at very high rates of interest. Which put the tribals into the debt trap. Dikus would buy goods from the tribals at very low rates and sell the same products at high prices, by making huge profits. Due to which, the tribals considered them to be their main enemies. Regards
