Solution

Trypsin:

  1. Chymotrypsin is secreted as chymotrypsinogen by the pancreas.
  2. It is also a proteolytic enzyme, that breaks the peptide bonds in the proteins and also polypeptides.
  3. Trypsin activates chymotrypsinogen.
  4. Chymotrypsinogen which is an inactive form gets converted to Chymotrypsin, an active form.
  5. The activated chymotrypsin is responsible for the further breakdown of partially-hydrolyzed proteins.
