Solution

Dear student,

ATP is made up of an adenine ring, ribose sugar, and 3 phosphate groups i.e. Adenosine triphosphate. ATP is known as the energy currency of a cell. The energy released by mitochondria is stored in the form of ATP molecules. The body uses the energy stored in ATP for making new chemical compounds and for mechanical work. ATP is present in cytoplasm and nucleoplasm of every cell.
