Mahatma Gandhi's views on Hitler were very strong. Below are some of his main views:
1. Although Gandhi respected Hitler's patriotism and devotion to the state of Germany, he very vocally condemned the inhuman activities perpetrated by Nazis over Jews. He also denounced the attack on Poland, Czechoslovakia and Denmark. The human right atrocities and genocide committed by Hitler and the Nazis pained Gandhi.
2. Although Gandhi mentions the British as the common enemies of India and Germany, he refused German aid to fight the British together on the matters of principles. While Gandhi stressed on non-violent means, the Hitler / Nazi method of invasion and plunder was not ascribed by Mahatma Gandhi.
3. Gandhi was of the opinion that Hitler and Nazis could face defeat in their bloody war from forces which improved the very means and methods that they adopted. In reality, this was true to an extent post Second World War.
4. Gandhi appealed to Hitler to embrace non-violent means and aid in bringing peace in the World.
