Glucogenic amino acids:

  1. Such amino acids usually serve as the precursors of gluconeogenesis for the glucose formation.
  2. Glycine, serine, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, glutamine, valine, methionine, histidine, and arginine are all glucogenic amino acids.
