Animals that can’t swim:

1. Most mammals are capable of swimming.
2. But there are some animals that are incapable of swimming.
3. Giraffe is one of the animals that cannot swim and it is because of their extreme anatomy – such as their long necks and legs, which would make swimming almost impossible.
4. A hippopotamus is another animal that is unable to swim, although they spend much of their time in the water, hippopotamuses are one of the few animals unable to swim.
5. Their inability to swim is partially due to their density. Instead, they walk or gallop along the bottom of the river.
6. Other examples include gorillas, chimpanzees, camels, tortoises etc.
