There are certain organs in the organisms which are similar to each other. There are two types of organs which have been classified as homologous and analogous organs. The organs which have the same function but are different in the fundamental structure are called analogous organs. The origin of these organs are also different.
The examples are the wing of insects, birds and bats perform the same function and have same appearance but their basic structure is entirely different.
