Analogous organs are the organs of different animals having different anatomy but doing similar functions or physiology.
Example: Wings of butterfly and flies, Flippers of dolphin and penguin.
They are a result of convergent evolution.
This situation occurs when two groups of largely unrelated organisms are exposed to very similar environments and develop similar adaptations to survive.
For example, the ability to fly has evolved in both bats and insects as they both have wings, which are adaptations to flight but they differ in shape and size.
