What are balanced and unbalanced forces?

Balanced forces:

1. When multiple forces acting on a body does not produce any change in the state of rest or uniform motion or direction of motion of the body. Then the forces are called balanced forces.
2. For example; A person holding a briefcase in hand, a book resting on a table etc.

Unbalanced force:

1. If a number of forces acting on a body produce a change in its state of rest or uniform motion or direction of motion, then they are termed as unbalanced forces.
2. For example; A briefcase released from a person's hand, a stone dropped etc
