Open in App
Solution

A balanced equation is an equation for a chemical reaction in which the number of atoms for each element in the reaction and the total charge are the same for both the reactants and the products. ... Also Known As: Balancing the equation, balancing the reaction, conservation of charge and mass.

An unbalanced Chemical Equation only tells us which componds react With eachother and what the Product is.
A balansed Equation also tells us how many molecules of each reactant, and how many molecules of Product in a reaction.
When you are doing calculations (exampel calculating grams of Product), you should use the balansed Equation
