The use of microorganisms or biological methods to control plant diseases and pests is called biocontrol. The agents which are used to control the microbes are called biocontrol agents.
Bacteria: Black flies, caterpillars, larvae, wax moths can be controlled by Bacillus thuringiensis.
Fungi: Beauveria bassiana acts as biopesticide for aphids, bugs, mites, white flies etc.
