Solution

Biofertilizers:

  1. Biofertilizers are microbe-containing substances that aid in the enhancement of plant and tree growth by maximizing the delivery of necessary nutrients to the plants.
  2. Mycorrhizae, blue-green algae, and bacteria are among the live organisms found in biofertilizers.

Biofertilizers are better than chemical fertilizers due to following reasons:

  1. Biofertilizers are chosen over chemical fertilizers since they are non-toxic and contain organic elements, whereas chemical fertilizers contain chemicals that are hazardous to consumers.
  2. Biofertilizers help maintain the normal fertility of the soil and keep it natural.
  3. They increase the amount of organic matter in the soil and improve the texture and condition of the soil.
  4. The improved soil is more water-retentive than the earlier one.
  5. Biofertilizers enrich the soil with essential elements such as nitrogen, proteins, and vitamins.
