1. The abiotic components of an ecosystem include various physical and chemical factors.
2. Physical factors: Eg. Sunlight and shade, average temperature, average precipitation, nature of soil.
3. Chemical factors: Eg. Level of water and air in soil, level of plant nutrients dissolved in soil moisture and in the water etc.
4. Biotic components: Organisms that make up the biotic component of an ecosystem are usually classified as autotrophs and heterotrophs.
5. Based on how they get their food or organic nutrients they need to survive. They include flora (plants) and fauna (animals).
