Solution
Blood groups:
There are some proteins in the blood called antibodies and antigens which differ from person to person.
Antibodies are found in plasma and antigens are found on the surface of RBCs.
There are two types of antigens and antibodies.
The two antigens are A and B and two types of antibodies are also named A and B.
On the basis of antigens and antibodies there are four types of blood groups:
Blood group A consists of antigen A and antibody B.
Blood group B consists of antigen B and antibody A.
Blood group AB contains antigens A and B but lacks antibodies.
Blood group O lacks both antigens but contains antibodies A and B
