1. The easterly winds that dominate most of the tropics and sub tropics throughout the world and which blows mainly from northeast in the Northern Hemisphere and Southeast in the Southern Hemisphere are called North East trade winds .


2. South west monsoon winds are the seasonal winds of the Indian Ocean and Southern Asia which generally blows from the southwest in summer and northeast in winter. These south west monsoon brings heavy rainfall and is marked by rainy season in India.
