A cell is the basic structural and functional unit of life. It is also known as the building block of life as they are the smallest unit of life.
The main functional components of cell includes nucleoplasm and cytoplasm. These are together known as protoplasm. It includes all materials inside the cell including organelles.
Zacharias Janssen, invented the microscope, while Anton Von Leeuwenhoek is credited for making the modern microscope i.e. he made various lenses to study minute organisms. He was the first person to use a microscope to see minute organisms.
