What are central lymphoid organs? Cite two examples.

The central lymphoid organs are lymphoepithelial structures. These are the sites in which the precursor lymphocytes can divide and proliferate. The cells get matured and capable of generating immune response. In humans, the bone marrow is considered as the central lymphoid organ. The thymus is considered as main lymphoid organs in the case of the birds.
