Chromatids

  1. Chromosomes are colored, rod-shaped structures present in the nucleus.
  2. Every chromosome contains identical structures called chromatids. Since they are similar, they are termed sister chromatids.
  3. Both of the chromatids are connected at centromere which is also called primary constriction that is necessary for the chromosomal movement at anaphase.
