Col-plasmids
- Col plasmids include genes that code for bacteriocins, which are proteins that kill bacteria.
- The plasmid is a small, circular fragment of DNA that differs from chromosomal DNA in size and form.
- It can reproduce without the help of chromosomal DNA.
- They're most common in bacteria, although they can also be found in multicellular organisms.
5 types of plasmids are given below:-
- Resistance Plasmids
- Virulence Plasmids
- Degradative Plasmids
- Col Plasmids
- Fertility F Plasmids
