Collinear forces:
The word collinear means “in one line”.
Collinear forces are forces that have a common line of action, i.e. the line of action of the forces lie along a single straight line.
Example of collinear forces:
Two people standing at the opposite ends of a rope and pulling on it.·
A suspended load by a cable.
In the image given below, all the three forces are applied on the same line of action, so it is also an example of collinear force.
