  1. Colloblasts are adhesive cells which produce a sticky secretion onto the tentacles that help in capturing prey by adhering to contact.
  2. Colloblasts are found only among the phylum Ctenophora.
  3. Ctenophora are exclusively marine and are free-swimming animals. They are also known as comb-jellies and sea-walnuts.
