Communicable or-Infectious Diseases are those diseases that are caused by some biological agents or pathogens such as Virus, Bacteria, Protozoans and Fungi. Since these are communicated from a diseased person to healthy person they are known as communicable diseases.

Non-Communicable or Non infectious Diseases are those diseases which are not spread from infected person to healthy person.

  • Malaria
  • Influenza
  • Jaundice
  • AIDS

Non communicable diseases

  • Marasmus
  • Kwashiorkor (deficiency of proteins)
  • Rickets
  • Goitre
  • Beriberi (Degenerative diseases)
  • Cancer
  • Thyroidism (Metabolic disorders)
