Plant tissues:

  1. There are two types of plant tissues: meristematic and permanent.

Complex tissue:

  1. It is made up of a variety of cell types. All of these cells work together to accomplish a common function.
  2. Xylem and phloem are two examples.
  3. Tracheas, xylem parenchyma, xylem fibers, and vessels make up the xylem.
  4. The xylem transports water and minerals.
  5. Sieve tubes, companion cells, sieve cells, phloem fibers, and the phloem parenchyma make up phloem.
  6. Phloem carries food from the leaves to the rest of the plant.
