Open in App
Solution

Dear student,

Cork Cambium :
  • It is basically derived from permanent tissues therefore they are considered as secondary meristematic tissue.
  • They are also known as phellogen. They have phellem as peripheral derivative and pheloderm as inner derivative.

Vascular Cambium:
  • It is basically derived from meristematic tissues and therefore known as primary meristem.
  • They have secondary phloem as peripheral derivative and secondary xylem as inner derivative, they both combine together to form the vascular system of plants.
Hence, we can conclude that Xylem and Phloem are part of Vascular system.
