2) Style of clothing created differences between men and women. From childhood, girls were dressed in stays which kept woman’s body straight

3) Older girls wore tight fitting corsets, which means, closely fitting inner bodice that give shape to her figure.

4) This outfit created body pain to women but in order to appear attractive, and more womanly, they had to wear this corset outfit

5) It restricted body growth and hampered blood circulation. Muscles became under developed and spines got bent. Some women complained of acute weakness which caused fatigue among them
