Scurvy:

  1. Scurvy is a deficiency disease caused due to lack of vitamin C(ascorbic acid) in food.
  2. Some of the food sources of vitamin C are lemon, orange, guava, cabbage, etc.
  3. Symptoms of scurvy include bleeding gums and pain in joints.

Night blindness:

  1. Night blindness is a disease that is caused due to deficiency of vitamin A in food.
  2. Some of the food sources of vitamin A are vegetables, fruits, and dairy products.
  3. Symptoms of night blindness include poor vision in dim light and dryness of the cornea.

Kwashiorkor:

  1. Kwashiorkor is a type of disease that occurs mostly due to a deficiency of proteins.
  2. Symptoms of kwashiorkor in children include weakness, thin limbs, pale and dry skin, and reddish hair.
