Electromagnetic waves -

  1. The waves which are associated with oscillating electrical and magnetic fields and which do not need any material medium for their propagation are called electromagnetic waves.
  2. Also, Electromagnetic waves can even travel through vacuum.
  3. E.g. - Light waves, Radio waves, television waves, and X-rays are electromagnetic waves. Thus, Light waves, Radio and Television waves, and X-rays can also travel through vacuum.
